2007 Event Pictures

First off, we’ve just switched servers. This transition could take up to a day for some visitors overseas. But when it’s fully resolved everything should be in working order, if not please contact me.

Second, I want to apologize for the lack of updates. I honestly have had little motivation here, in addition to being very busy and having other commitments at the moment. I will try to be better and if not, I will decide what I’m going to do with this site. While I adore Sydney, I really wish their was projects I looked forward to. But that isn’t the case at the moment, but I will wait out a little longer.

Anyways, a bit of catch up. Knight Rider is currently airing on NBC. Be sure to check it out if you liked the pilot/film. I unfortunately did not, but maybe the show’s ‘retooling’ will be better. I’ll have to get back to you when I watch.

And now since there hasn’t been a real update in a long time, I decided to make a big post of Sydney’s older 2007 event pics. There is now over 300 pictures from that year in the gallery. Enjoy!

While things are incredibly quite with Sydney at the moment, I thought I’d catch up on some scans. I have now added a treasured handful of new Sydney material. Stuff on her is quite hard tome come by and luckily I’ve managed to find one of Sydney’s first solo covers on ebay (perhaps the first?) all the way back from 2003 when she was promoting the show Abbey, as well as some other nice things. I’d like to thank Riikka for contributing some clippings here as well. Proceed here to view everything. I have replaced several shots of Sydney’s older People outtakes with new larger, untagged versions. It’s definitely one of my favorite shoots to date so it’s lovely having most without tags! I also added a new shoot pic of Sydney with her sister Anika and mother. Sydney looks very cute! Big thanks to Ally for these snaps!

First off apologies for the recent downtime. I was moving the site to a new server and was unable to update. Everything has been checked and I believe we have no errors. However, I’m only human and bound to make a mistake so if you come across anything that isn’t loading, not there, broken links, etc, please let me know and I’ll get it taken care of! Hopefully the site loads smoothly for everyone now.

Today I added some pictures of Sydney’s earlier TV & Film images, nothing too new here, except for some rarer seen TV Show stills with many thanks to Riikka for her donations. I’ve also added a set of candids from March 11, 2008 thanks to Ally. Sydney news is slow and will probably remain that way for some time so I decided to post candids, if of course Sydney is visually upset or there seems to be a real invasion of her privacy I’ll stop. But I don’t expect many candids anyways. Click here to see the few new additions. :wink:

“MacArthur Park” Caps

I have made screencaps of Sydney in one of her earlier films, 2001’s MacArthur Park, where she plays Linda. Her role is pretty decent sized consider the massive amount of characters. Although I really didn’t enjoy this film I really love going back and seeing all of Sydney’s earlier performances so it is a joy to watch for that.

“Knight Rider” Tonight!

Tonight (Sunday 02/17) is the premiere of the 2 hour TV movie/backdoor pilot Knight Rider! It airs on NBC at 9:00PM. Sydney stars as Carrie Rivai in it. If the movie does well we might even see it as a new series. Be sure to watch and check back for captures and clips!

ComingSoon.net has an article in which they talk about Sydney’s character. Here is her except:

On their journey, the two get help from FBI agent Carrie Rivai (Sydney Tamiia Poitier), who has a history with the Graimen’s. Her character’s back story is part of many storylines that will be tackled in the movie (and then possibly the series, if it gets picked up). “My character starts going after the bad guys and trying to figure out what happened to Charles to secure the safety of his daughter. She’s the liaison between the FBI and Mike Tracer and Charles Graimen and all those sort of KITT foundation people.”

To celebrate I have uploaded some new stills and promo shoots to the gallery.
